Use it or Lose it

While we begin our journey through life with a limited intellect, we have the potential to transform it into something divine and enduring.

However, through thought and contemplation of the world around us we can develop and enhance our intellect to allow us to grasp even abstract concepts and ideas.

This is especially true in the pursuit of wisdom regarding Hashem, His creation, and His actions. Through this, our intellect can be developed into a divine tool of knowledge and understanding. 

As a divine aspect of our being, it is not diminished by age; rather, it transcends our physical bodies and brings us closer to a sense of immortality.

This is why the Torah describes humanity as being created in the image of G-d.

 "In the image of G-d, He created man." Genesis 1:27
